When Mass Effect 3 bookended EA’s epic series of sci-fi RPGs, it wasn’t exactly clear how a sequel would work. In order to continue the franchise, some creativity would be required. Continue reading Mass Effect: Andromeda Xbox One review
FlatOut 4: Total Insanity Xbox One review
One of the first racing games that had me holding my breath the entire lap was Bizarre Creations’ Destruction Derby 2 on the original PlayStation. Bigben’s FlatOut 4: Total Insanity had exactly the same effect on me.
Whilst not the quite as perfectly honed a specimen as the likes of say Forza Horizons 3, FlatOut 4 is still a very entertaining racer, and pretty exhilarating with it. Continue reading FlatOut 4: Total Insanity Xbox One review

With Horizon Zero Dawn, Killzone developer Guerrilla Games swaps interplanetary war for a stark future were robotic creatures roam a lush post-apocalyptic Earth.

Yakuza Zero PlayStation 4 review
Yakuza Zero is a prequel to the main series and is set in the December of 1988. It tells the origin of the series’ protagonists, Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima, two unlikely Yakuza.

Siegecraft Commander PC/HTC Vive/PS4 review
If there’s something that VR is lacking, it’s a decent strategy game. Having played games like Final Approach, seeing a miniature world below you, via your virtual reality head mounted display, is pretty awesome. Everything looks like freaky Lilliputian animated models.
Aussie outfit, Blowfish studios, kind of fills that void. And I say kind of. Continue reading Siegecraft Commander PC/HTC Vive/PS4 review
Sid Meier’s Civilization VI PC review
After the deluge of video game releases at the end of last year, it is only now that I’ve found the time to get right into what may well my favourite game of 2016, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI.
It’s hard to believe that Sid Meier’s revered series has been going for 25 years. The grand-daddy of turn-based strategy games has spawned many copy-cats, but none have managed to capture the depth of gameplay offered by the Civilization games. Continue reading Sid Meier’s Civilization VI PC review
Resident Evil VII Biohazard PS4 Pro/PSVR review
From the Beginning Hour demo and both PSVR demos, “The Kitchen” and “Lantern”, it’s been pretty clear that Capcom has something different in store for us with Resident Evil VII Biohazard. Continue reading Resident Evil VII Biohazard PS4 Pro/PSVR review
