Marvel’s Black Panther review

If someone had told me, twenty years ago, that Black Panther would be a major motion picture, whilst Daredevil and The Punisher were relegated to TV, I wouldn’t have believed them. In the Marvel comics, T’Challa’s adventures were usually as a supporting act for another character, his native Wakanda and its source of vibranium being of more importance.

But here we are with Black Panther, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s eighteenth movie in the ten years since its inception. Continue reading Marvel’s Black Panther review

The Talos Principle VR HTC Vive review

With The Talos Principle, Serious Sam developers, Croteam, ditched the mindless (but fun) violence of their previous endeavours. Instead we have a philosophical game that ponders about sentient A.I. and features some neat puzzles.

Despite being a few years old now, fans of The Talos Principle have been crying out for a virtual reality version of the game. Having been teased by Croteam and their Serious Sam VR releases, it was only a matter of time until we where given the opportunity to return to The Talos Principle in VR. Hands-on review: Crucial MX500 2.5” SSD

At CES 2018 memory and storage gurus, Crucial, launched their MX500 SSD range. For the last week, I have been putting one of these hard drives through its paces.

Anyone still booting their PC from a traditional hard disk, really needs to think about the amount of valuable time they sit in front their machine waiting for it to start. Solid state drives have been around for years, but it’s only in the last few that they’ve been reasonably priced, and only very recently that you’ve been able to purchase on with a reasonable amount of storage space. Megaton Rainfall PS4/PSVR review

The sense of flying is one of the most amazing experiences you can have in virtual Reality. Be it soaring around the globe in Google Earth VR, flying an Iroquois helicopter across the Nevada desert in DCS, or even dogfighting in space with Eve Valkyrie, departing terra firma is exhilarating.

You can add the PlayStation VR title, Megaton Rainfall to this list. Casting the player as a super-powered protector of the Earth, this is the closest that you’ll get right now to a full-on VR Superman simulator. Continue reading Megaton Rainfall PS4/PSVR review
