All around the world Kinect units sit alone atop TV screens collecting dust.
We all want to love Microsoft’s motion controller, but we know that it is really just a piece of shite that we’ll never really need. Leaping about like a fairy is all well and good if you are a thirteen year old girl but not OK for a 40-year-old gamer.
Ubisoft are working on giving us more…veteran gamers a reason to stand in front of the flaying our arms like we are having some sort of vertical fit.
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier promises to have some Kinect features, but I’m not keen on playing a game that requires me do jazz-hands to fire a weapon.
Motion Sports Adrenalin, however, looks right up my alley. This sequel to the more pedestrian Motion Sports features these AWESOME activities:
- Wingsuit-ing(?)
- Mountainbiking
- Rock climbing
- Kayaking
- Kitesurfing
- Parkour
- Extreme Skiing
- Extreme Trampolining
More importantly it allows me to experience a bit of adrenaline without leaving the comfort of my home, and with the risk of broken limbs whilst at the same time allowing me to kid myself that I’ve actually had a bit of exercise.
Motion Sports Adrenaline will be available on Xbox 360 in September. You can pre-order a copy here.
