Beyond: Two Souls PlayStation 4 review

The remastering trend continues with Quantic Dreams’ 2013 PlayStation 3 exclusive adventure game, Beyond: Two Souls, getting a new-gen makeover for the PlayStation 4.

David Cage’s supernatural follow-up to his 2010 PlayStation 3 game/interactive movie Heavy Rain really cemented my opinion of the French developer as being a frustrated film-maker. Heavy on the plot, but light on the gameplay, is the hallmark of a Quantic Dreams game. Continue reading Beyond: Two Souls PlayStation 4 review

Driveclub Bikes PlayStation 4 review

The PlayStation 4’s exclusive racing game, Driveclub gets a major upgrade with its Driveclub Bikes DLC pack, adding two-wheeled superbikes into the mix.

To say that Driveclub had a difficult birth would be an understatement. Originally due to be released as a freemium game for PS+ subscribers, the launch of the game’s retail version was so chaotic that the developers had to change their plans. The free version got delayed whilst server and connection issues plagued the retail release. Fans got angry and things turned nasty. Continue reading Driveclub Bikes PlayStation 4 review

Need for Speed PlayStation 4 Review

For Ghost Studios’ second crack at EA Games’ racing franchise, and the first new-gen console/PC-only version, they have dropped the subtitle and just stuck with Need for Speed. But is this a new beginning for the series?

The new-gen console duet of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 has been the catalyst for overhauling and/or rebooting a fair few franchises. I think that’s what EA are aiming for with release of their veteran series. Continue reading Need for Speed PlayStation 4 Review

Fallout 4 PC review

Bethesda’s summer tent-pole game has arrived giving PS4, Xbox One and PC explorers the chance to leave vault 111 and wander through a new-gen post-apocalyptic world of Fallout 4.

As one of the year’s most awaited games, expectations are high for the sequel to 2008’s Fallout 3 and the contracted-out 2010 spin-off, Fallout: New Vegas. I’ve been playing the game on PC for over week and I feel I’ve barely scratched the surface. Continue reading Fallout 4 PC review
