During the CES 2024 keynote speech at the Intel Client Open House at the Venetian Hotel and Resort, Las Vegas, Intel’s Client Computing Group head, Michelle Johnston Holthaus, stressed her company’s focus on AI technology. Joined on stage by partners from Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Microsoft, the discussion highlighted the impact that onboard AI technology, namely the neural processing unit, will have on the consumer user experience. Hands-on with the new Intel Core Ultra 7-powered MSI Claw A1M

I joined Intel at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. AI was very much the focus at the show and Intel was keen to show off the capabilities of the new Intel Meteor Lake Core Ultra mobile processor with its onboard neural processing unit (NPU). The third incarnation of the Oculus Quest standalone consumer virtual reality headset is here. The Meta Quest 3 is smaller, lighter, and offers a higher fidelity virtual reality experience than its predecessors.  With the addition of mixed reality via the device’s colour pass-through cameras, could this be the next generation of consumer VR headsets? Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora PC/Xbox Series X review

If ever there was a game that could be a hit or a miss it is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. And, just like the movies it’s based on, it’s a game that’s dividing opinion.

Fourteen years ago, James Cameron’s Avatar presented filmgoers with a visual feast: a vibrant alien world, an exciting, familiar, but sombre tale with an ecological message, cutting-edge visual effects, and all this in 3D.
