My apologies for the late write-up, but it’s taken me the best part of a week to recover from what was, without a doubt, the highlight of my gaming calendar, PAX Australia 2015.
Over three days, from 30st October to 1nd of November, an eclectic band of gamers from all over the world descended on the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre for an all-encompassing festival of gaming. From upcoming Triple-A titles like Fallout 4 and indie hits Like Ascent: The Space Game, through to Dungeon & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering, PAX Australia 2015 celebrated gaming across all its forms. From October 2nd to October 4th, Sydney Olympic Park played host to Australasia’s biggest gaming event, The EB Expo 2015. 36,750 gamers attended the show over the three days, an even bigger turn out than last year.
The Exhibition Centre was alive with sights and sounds that wouldn’t have looked out of place at the video-gaming Mecca that is E3 in Los Angles. Some of the booths, notably the huge Xbox booth, looked as if they’d been dragged across the Pacific from the LA show back in June. The 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles is now over for another year. I take a look back back at an epic show packed with video gaming reveals and revelations. First stop EA Games and their upcoming slate as revealed during their E3 2015 Press Conference.
Gaming’s heavy hitter’s EA bought out the big guns for the show this year. Their E3 press event was packed with first looks at some superb new titles, the publisher eager to not be overshadowed by Bethesda’s event the day before.
And whilst Bethesda was all about Fallout 4, EA was all about Star Wars. Continue reading EA Games at E3 2015
The world’s greatest entertainment expo, E3, started with an explosion of blood and gibs courtesy of publishing powerhouse Bethesda, who held their first ever E3 press conference on Sunday night at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Their hour-long presentation was broadcast live over the internet, including to a special event in the Sydney CBD. I had a front row seat at the exclusive event in Sydney’s Star Bar which beamed the Bethesda show onto two huge screens. Continue reading Bethesda starts E3 2015 with a bang

Ubisoft have released the first game in its Assassin’s Creed spin-off series, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China. This is the first of three 2.5D platform games to be followed by similarly styled adventures set in India and Russia.
This time, the sci-fi/historic series takes us to China in the first half of the 16th Century. Continue reading Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China PlayStation 4 review
It’s been a while since I’ve written anything resembling an editorial on this site. To be honest, I’ve been too busy. In truth, I’m still too busy- with over twenty articles, interviews and reviews to write up.
Whilst it has been my busiest yet and a lot of hard work, 2014 has been one hell of an awesome gaming year. Continue reading 2014: Vic B’Stard’s year in review
