Over the last year, I’ve taken a look at many devices important for the home office environments suddenly forced on many of us. I’ve checked out hard drives, routers, headsets, mics, and cameras among others. I’ve looked at problems and solutions to create a safe, secure, and productive office away from the office.
Kingston’s Fury Renegade DDR4-4600 are some of the fasted PC memory modules available today, if you’ve got the rig to use it.
These slick-looking modules feature functional (i.e., not overly industrial) heatsinks and RGB lighting. The RGB supports all the top case motherboard illumination systems like MSI’s Mystic Light Sync, Gigabyte’s RGB Fusion 2.0, and Asus’ Aura Sync. I was sent a 16GB (2x8GB) kit to test. This augmented version of the celebrated game affords players the opportunity to experience Metro Exodus looking better than ever. The developer, 4A Games, has swapped out pre-baked lighting and, on PC, the hastily added ray-tracing implementation of the original release, for a more complete, and realistic look. Better late than never, I check out Sega’s Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 – The Official Video Game.
Originally released in Japan only in 2019 on PS4 and Switch, Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 – The Official Video Game was a victim of COVID-19 just like its namesake. It’s still probably the safest way to partake in the Tokyo Olympic games, which start later this month. Continue reading Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 – The Official Video Game PS4 review→
I spent some time with a preview build of Milestone’s upcoming racer, Hot Wheels Unleashed.
It was with some trepidation that I started up Hot Wheels Unleashed, a racing game based on Mattel’s famous line of toy cars. The Playground Games’ Hot Wheels Expansion for the Australian-based Forza Horizon 3 is a favourite of mine. Continue reading Hot Wheels Unleashed PC preview→
