Hunting Simulator PS4 review

I’d be lying if I said that I’d never fired a rifle before. I have, but I’ve never had the desire to shoot a living creature. I gassed a mouse, once, with lighter fuel – by accident – as a horrible kid, but I’d never dream of killing an animal now.

I eat meat, though. But if you told me I had to kill it myself, I’d be lining up with the iron-deficient vegetarians in an instant. What a hypocrite, you say. And you’d be right—I am a guilty carnivore.

Killing things in a game is another matter. My digital body count probably numbers in the millions by now. If it moves in a game and I can do it, I’ll probably kill it. Continue reading Hunting Simulator PS4 review

Hands-on review: NVIDIA GTX 1060 Founders Edition

NVIDIA really upped the ante with the release of their Pascal-based GPU powerhouses, the GTX 1080 and the GTX 1070. These graphics cards offer premium performance at a reasonable price, more than capable of getting the best out of the latest games and virtual reality experiences.

Vic B’Stard’s top tips for getting games like The Witcher 3 and Batman Arkham Knight running well on your PC

I’ll be the first to admit that nothing pisses me off more, when I can’t get a game to work on my PC, than reading someone’s self-righteous post on how the game runs fine on their machine. Especially if their PC spec is half that of my own.

As much as it irks me, as a seasoned PC gamer, I appreciate that my problems with a game are more likely to be down to my choice of components, or how I chose to configure them, than the game’s programmers.

So, at the risk of sounding like a hypocrite, please breathe deeply and stay calm as I offer you advice, if you are having trouble running Arkham Knight, that you probably don’t want to hear. Just Cause 3 gameplay reveal trailer released

Square Enix and Avalanche Studios have released the first gameplay reveal trailer for Just Cause 3, the second sequel in their outrageous smash-hit series of action-adventure games.

Debuting in in 2006, Just Cause and its 2010 sequel took physics-based gaming to explosive new heights, enabling players to unleash mass destruction in new and inventive ways.
